What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I am excited to be back in the Midwest and at a program with great volume and exposure to all of cardiothoracic surgery.
Clinical interests: I have a broad interests now which include robotic thoracic surgery, foregut surgery and coronary bypass surgery.
Hobbies: I enjoy any outdoor activities with my wife and dogs. Otherwise I enjoy exercising, cooking and golfing. Collecting and drinking whiskey, especially with good friends, is something I enjoy.

What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I am thrilled to return to Corewell Health in West Michigan for my training in cardiothoracic surgery. I did my general surgery residency here and thoroughly enjoyed the people, both patients and colleagues, that I worked with. It is a privilege to train in an excellent high volume center that prioritizes both education and quality clinical care.
What are your clinical interests? I am interested in thoracic malignancies, pleural diseases and the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter exploring nature, watching birds, hiking, mountain biking, nordic skiing, gardening and listening to classical music. I also enjoy reading books on theology, philosophy, ethics and history.
