We understand that there may be times during your journey when you don’t feel like you are getting what you need from your care team or current provider. We know that everyone has different preferences, personalities, and communication styles. What matters to us most is your comfort and well-being.
If you would like to seek a second opinion or different provider at any time during your care, please contact your OB-GYN so we can help support the safe transition of your care.
Did you know that midwives are essential members of our care team? They are also here to provide comprehensive care and support throughout the journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. They offer personalized care that honors the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
Midwives offer holistic care that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the mother and baby.
Not sure what’s best for you? Every pregnancy is unique—which is why we offer a team of obstetricians and certified nurse midwives for you to choose from. Take this short quiz to find the fit that’s best for you and your pregnancy. At Spectrum Health, you have options to deliver your baby, your way.
Throughout your pregnancy, you may have some appointments with a nurse practitioner (NP) and/or a physician assistant (PA). While they personally do not deliver babies, they are still an important part of your care team. They can conduct physical examinations, interpret laboratory tests, provide counseling and education, and even prescribe medications. They will work closely with your primary provider to ensure you are getting the best care possible.
We know that sometimes you may not agree with your care plan, or you may just want to hear a second opinion while you are under our care. This is perfectly okay. If at any time during your treatment you want to get a second opinion, just let us know, and we will make the arrangements for you.
We are here to help you find the right providers for you throughout your pregnancy.
